When I came to Midtowne and experienced the atmosphere and its wonderful staff, I immediately thought about heaven, with the exception that heaven must be more abundantly bigger, of course. So I began to call this place, “My small Heaven.” Now after months of living here, I can definitely say, in the Midtowne staff I have found a real family. The “home” I didn’t have before. They have loved me and accepted me just the way I am and this is a good feeling of freedom.
We toured Midtowne before it was officially open for business over 2 1/2 years ago and from the very first visit we knew it was different. The atmosphere is very different from your average facility, and they entire staff has been the closest to having “family” care for our loved one as we could imagine. We have found out many times how staff have gone above and beyond what their “job” requires them to do, and although we have watched many staff come and go – they are consistently trained in kindness and compassion. Our loved one has been on both sides of the facility (now in memory care) and knowing how little “credit” they get for planning events for those with memory impairment is an unusual feature for which we cannot be more thankful. Being able to speak with staff via email, or get updates via social media and the GoSagely app – gives us even more up to date news regarding what is happening in their lives and is an added plus. We are very grateful for what Midtowne has helped us handle with our loved one that needed round the clock care.
I looked at 6 different assisted living locations between Waxahachie and Grand Prairie and found Midtowne of Midlothian to be the best! Sara gave me a fantastic personal tour and I knew this was the place for my grandparents. They even offered to cook my grandpas favorite meal when he came to tour the facility! They are very personable. When my grandparents took the tour they said “Where do we sign?!” The staff has been very friendly and personable and actually care about my loved ones. The living conditions are that of a 5 star hotel. They have the best amenities! Something I love is they always have something going on! Scheduled trips to local eateries, trip to Walmart every Monday, or other fun interactive outings. Even outings to Dallas and other larger cities! My grandmother is a social butterfly and loves to be active and this places fits her! Sadly my grandfather passed several months after they moved in. But the staff clung to my grandma. They all checked in on her and gave their condolences. The facility sent beautiful flowers to the hospital room prior to his death. And even made a donation to the church they attended as per my grandparents wish. They even took it one step further and asked us if they could have a shirt of my grandfather’s as they wanted to make something special for my grandmother after he had passed. They took one of his shirts and made a pillow just for my grandmother. This is the kind of care and compassion they give all the time. The food is great, the patio, and courtyard are awesome. Very family friendly if you want to come visit, spend the day or if you want to celebrate holidays with your loved ones! I cannot advocate for Midtowne enough!
